I legit cried for a raccoon today.

My mom and dad drove by a raccoon on the way to somewhere (I honestly don’t know where) and it was just lying on a driveway shivering and shaking, like it was having a seizure.

When they came back, it had inched its way between a houses’ decorative statue and a rock.

My mom told me and my brother, and we went to check it out. We didn’t go close too it, but I could see it shaking and I felt so bad.

So I started calling different animal rescue centers.

A lot didn’t pick up, though, and some were only in America. Then there were those who didn’t work on weekends.

I had left messages at three Rescue centers, when my mom told me that the raccoon had left and was nowhere to be seen.

I cried because I couldn’t help the raccoon.

I might get some pictures of the raccoon my mom took later, but its on my mom’s phone so I’d have to ask for her phone.

I feel like I did something wrong, so what would you have done in this situation?

Should I have told the owners of the house which the raccoon was in?

Should I have tried to treat the raccoon by myself?

I just feel sorta sad and hopeless right now.
